Divine Life Society Faridpur Activities on the occasion of Swami Chidananda birth century
i) Inauguration of Devarchana 5th Edition “Sadguru Kripamrit Varsha”
On the occasion of Swami Chidananda Birth Century Divine Life Society Faridpur inaugurated Devarchana book on Gurupornima 2015 which especially gave stress on Guru Bhakti, contains many stotras of Swami Sivananda ji and Chidananda ji and named it as Sadguru Kripamrit Varsha which is devoted to Swami Chidananda ji.
The book also contains lectures and Satnamawali of Swami Chidananda ji.
ii) Organized Large Scale Tirth Yatras (Pilgrimages)
Divine Life Society Faridpur organized Pilgrimages and sent a number of devotees including some Poor devotees for free, who could not afford Yatra to different famous Hindu Tirths. The main purpose of organizing these pilgrimages is to quench thirst of Tirth darshans of senior citizens and poors who could not imagine of travelling to distant holy pilgrim places. Whole Yatra is dedicated to Swami Chidananda’s ideology and philosophy.
During these Pilgrimages various members of DLS-Faridpur met with members of other Divine Life Societies across India like we visited Chidananda Tapovan Shanti Ashram Puri, DLS-Bhubaneshwar, Sivananda Ashram Ahmedabad and DLS-Secunderabad, this made Divine Life Society thread even stronger. Due to overwhelmed response of devotees, we organized Yatra in several Groups.
Divya Prem Yatra and Swarn Swabhagya Yatra
Divya Prem Yatra (DPY) was commenced in three phases. Group-1, Group-2, Group-3 was commenced on 15 August, 20 August and 9 September respectively. Around 60-70 devotees were blessed by this divine activity.
Divya Prem Yatra includes Darshans of Holy Jagannath Mahadham of Puri, Kalighat Kolkata and Town of Temples Bhubaneswar, whereas Group 3 also includes darshans of Srisailam Jyotirlinga and visit to DLS- Secunderabad.
They all stayed in Chidananda Tapovan Shanti Ashram (Puri), Sivananda Ashram (Bhubaneswar) and Sivananda Ashram of Secunderabad.
Swarn Swabhagya Yatra is 32 day long pilgrimage. This Yatra consisted of darshans of several holy tirth of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
For thanks giving to Chidananda Tapovan Puri, Sivananda Ashram of Bhubaneshwar, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad for their kind love and hospitality. We and our members donated for the various nobles activities in respective ashrams.
Soon with the blessings of Gurudev, we also planned to organize more Tirth Yatras which is devoted to Swami Chidananda Birth Century Celebration to promote worship of God and indirectly spreading Cultural and religious richness of Hinduism through Darshans of Temples.
iii) Organization of Annapurna Seva
On auspicious occasion of Birthday of Swami Chidananda ji Maharaj i.e. 24 September 2015. Divine Life Society Faridpur organized Food serving / bhandara for poors in Lakshmi Narayan Temple, Bareilly. Also, one same day DLS-Faridpur partially organized Annapurna Seva at Chidananda Tapovan Shanti Ashram, Baliguali, Puri.
iv) Launch of Divine Life Society Faridpur website
To give updates of Branch Activities and to spread philosophy and ideology of Swami Sivananda ji as well as Swami Chidananda ji, DLS Faridpur created our branch’s website i.e. http://www.dlsfaridpur.tk.
Many other small scale activities are been carried out by the branch members on the holy occasion of Swami Chidananda ji Birth Century Celebration.
